Environmental Justice

I thought that you might be interested in the attached report of the World Justice Forum III (http://worldjusticeproject.org/forum/) that I recently attended in Spain (Barcelona). I was the rapporteur of the environmental sessions. I am also the online moderator of the e-forum on environmental justice and law, an international e-forum whose members are the partners of the World Justice Project and participants of the environmental sessions of past World justice Forum meetings (I, II & III).

The sessions were attended by representatives of civil society organisations worldwide and discussed environmental law and justice issues.

While these issues should be the centre of advocacy and campaigning activities especially in the South where  the environmental rule of law principles are underdeveloped,  environmental law and rights are being marginalised at the expense of other mainstream environmental activities such as environmental  conservation and wildlife that are being promoted in the South by Northern larger NGOs.
